Positioning, value proposition development, naming, brand architecture, employee brand engagement, customer experience analysis and optimization – Alex has done it all – for companies such as Google, Cirque du Soleil, IBM, Comcast, Delta Air Lines, Walmart, and AT&T.
Prior to starting two and two, Alex held senior positions at Sullivan, Sterling Brands and Lippincott. He also co-founded Canvas, a strategic brand consultancy. He has been a frequent lecturer on touchpoint alignment and brand activation.
Alex earned his master’s degree in management from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural design from Yale University, where his work ethic was shaped by late nights in the studio and early mornings on the river as stroke of the heavyweight varsity crew.
founder: Deirdre davi
Deirdre Davi was formerly EVP, Strategy at Sterling Brands for 15 years, most recently leading the San Francisco Strategy practice. Before that she was Director, Business Marketing, for Facebook. Deirdre brings over 25 years of marketing and executive-level operating experience to 2and2 with a 360 perspective as a technology entrepreneur, a brand strategist, a marketing and operational executive, and a product leader.
Deirdre’s experience spans industries and specialties including social media, technology products and experiences, mobile carriers and companies, financial services, retail, energy, media, entertainment, and packaged goods. Deirdre has particular expertise in mobile, social, and emerging technology product development, combining consumer insights with business strategy to help develop and implement actionable business solutions.
Prior to the first internet boom Deirdre held marketing positions at Wells Fargo Bank, Cellular One, and Intuit, was VP of Marketing at Macromedia. During the boom she held multiple leadership positions at start-ups that taught her how not to run a business, and then was co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of a clean technology software company for 3 years during the tech downturn. She is continuing to use this varied experience of what to do and what not to do as as a founder of 2and2.

Elizabeth is a writer who splits her time between journalism and branding work. As a journalist, her stories appear in The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg Businessweek, among other publications. As a copywriter, she collaborates with branding firms on strategic branding initiatives, website development, messaging, and naming.
Prior to this, Elizabeth was a business reporter at Conde Nast Portfolio magazine. Prior to Portfolio, she was an associate at the Boston Consulting Group.
Core to Elizabeth’s work in journalism is her expertise in interviewing subjects ranging from c-suite executives and small business owners to industry analysts, and understanding the most effective methods for extracting meaningful insights within narrow time constraints.
Elizabeth holds a B.A. magna cum laude from Yale University.
